Underwood International College Scholarship Eligibility.

Interested candidates applying for underwood international college must first have finished/will finish high school and hold/will hold a high school diploma before entering Underwood International College (UIC). Incase you were a high school student when the application was made, you must submit high school diploma to the UIC Office before matriculation at UIC.

Second, you and your parents must be all non-Koreans by passport. You will NOT be considered as an International Student, in case you or either one of your parents has a dual citizenship of Korea and another country.

Candidates are supposed to prove their academic qualification and English language proficiency on the face of the application form.

Underwood International College Scholarship Types and Value.

The Underwood International College scholarship is categorized into three (3) main modes for it to be accessible to all students both prospective and current students.

1 . Admissions Scholarship
Who can apply : Newly-admitted international students to UIC
Scholarship Coverage : full tuition for 4 years

2 . Merit-based Scholarship
Who can Apply : Currently-enrolled UIC students
Scholarship Coverage : full, half, or one-third of the tuition per semester.
How to apply :
All UIC students are automatically considered as scholarship candidates. Each semester’s scholarship standard may vary; For more information or applying scholarship, please check the announcement.

3 . Need-based Scholarship
Who can apply : Currently-enrolled UIC students
Scholarship Coverage : full, half, or one-third of the tuition per semester
How to apply :
Freedom scholarship will be announced at the end of each semester for UIC students in need of financial aid. Applicants must submit an application form and required documents, which will be reviewed by the UIC office. If necessary, applicants will be called in for individual interviews with the scholarship committee.

1) Underwood Field.

Underwood Division: Comparative Literature and Culture, Economics, International Studies, Political Science and International Relations, Life Science and Biotechnology.

2) Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences Field.

Asian Studies Division.

Techno-Art Division : Information and Interaction Design, Creative Technology Management, Culture and Design Management.

Integrated Social Sciences Division : Justice and Civil Leadership, Quantitative Risk Management, Science, Technology and Policy, Sustainable Development and Cooperation.

3) Integrated Science and Engineering Field.

How to apply.

International students applying for UIC will be automatically considered as scholarship candidates. Scholarship recipients are to be selected from admitted applicants according to their academic credentials. A scholarship offer letter will be enclosed in the admission packet and sent to the recipients individually. Scholarship recipients are required to maintain a certain level of GPA each semester to stay eligible for the scholarship in the following semester.
