Scholarship Eligibility and Criteria:
Interested candidates must meet the following criteria before they can submit a successful application.
1 . All applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
2 . Education background and age limit : Applicants for both the college and undergraduate programs must have a senior high school diploma with a good academic performance and should be under the age 25.
Applicants for the master’s degree program must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
Applicants for the doctoral degree program must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
3 . Students applying for undergraduate studies must have high school certificate to apply. Master’s applicants must have a completed bachelors degree in the relevant field they are applying. PhD applicants must be under the age of 40 and have a graduate degree in relevant field with working experience.
4. Applicants must agree to obey the relevant laws of the PRC and meet the admission requirements of the university or college.
5. Applicants must have a good academic record.
6. Applicants cannot be recipients of other scholarships offered by Chinese government, local governments or other organizations simultaneously.

Successful scholarship recipients will enjoy the following benefits of Hohai university scholarship for international students.
1． Full Scholarship
The full scholarship covers the following fees:
(i) Tuition, accommodation, monthly allowance, application fee, and laboratory fees.
(ii) The monthly allowances for doctoral and master students are 2000RMB, 1700RMB respectively.
(iii) Students covered by full scholarship also enjoy the same benefits as those who are covered by the full Chinese Government Scholarship in terms of medical insurance.
Please note that the Hohai University Full Scholarship is available to Graduate students and Post-graduate students only.
2. Partial Scholarship
The partial scholarship covers one or several of the items mentioned in the Full Scholarship.
The Partial Scholarship is available to all degree applying students in Hohai University.

Scholarship Document Requirement.
1. Scanned Copy of valid passport(The personal data page of the passport).
2. Highest diploma certificate (notarized photocopy): Applicants shall also provide proof of studying on application. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
3. Academic transcripts (notarized photocopy): All academic transcripts from the courses taken. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
4. A study or research plan. All applicants are required to submit a study or research plan. It must be in Chinese or in English. (Undergraduate students are not strictly required to provide research plan).
5. Recommendation letters: Applicants for postgraduate studies, or study in China as senior scholars must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.
6. Proof of English/Chinese language proficiency. (All official language certificates will be accepted ).
7. Physical examination report.(Health report).
