
France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship Program is a scholarship grant established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. The goal of the scholarship program is to enable French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to enroll in their masters and PhD programs.

Application Timeline: From September – to – January each year.

Eligible Countries: Open to all Foreign Students.
Host Institutions : Major Universities in France.
Type of Degree : Master’s and Doctoral / PhD .
Fields of Study : The two main disciplinary fields for the France Excellence Eiffel scholarships cover the following seven areas of study for the Master’s and Doctorate elements:
For Science and Technology
- Biology and Health
- Ecological Transition
- Mathematics and Digital
- Engineering Sciences
For Humanities and Social Sciences
- History, French language and civilization
- Law and political science
- Economics and management

Scholarship Requirement
To be eligible for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship applicants;
- Should be 25 years old for the master’s level and up to 30 years old at PhD level.
- Should be able to demonstrate good academic records.
- Course should help improve their country or regional development.
Scholarship Study Level & Duration
Candidates can enroll in one of the following study levels;
- in courses leading to a master’s degree.
- in an engineering program.
- in a joint doctoral program (joint supervision of dissertation and/or dual degree), in partnership with a partner institution abroad.
Scholarship Duration
Master’s level
- a maximum of 12 months when enrolling in an M2.
- a maximum of 24 months when enrolling in an M1.
- a maximum of 36 months for the completion of an engineering degree.
Doctorate level
The Excellence Eiffel scholarship is awarded for a period of maximum 6 to 36 months starting on September 1 of the year the scholarship is awarded.
France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will enjoy the following benefits;
Master’s level
Eiffel Excellence scholarship holders receive a monthly allowance of €1,181, to which is added several services: International transportation, national transportation, insurance, housing searches, cultural activities.
Doctorate level
Eiffel Excellence scholarship holders receive a monthly stipend of €1,800, to which is added several services: international transportation, national transportation, insurance, housing searches, cultural activities.
Note : The scholarship does not cover tuition fees.

How to Apply
Applicants are required to apply to French Institution that fits their plan. After the application the institution will nominate the candidate for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship. Contact Campus France in your country of origin or the French Embassy’s Cooperation and Cultural Action Department, for detailed guidance. Deadlines of institutions may vary hence check the deadline for your chosen institution to apply on time.
