
Chinese government fully funded scholarship is a bilateral scholarship agreement which support international students to study higher education in China. The scholarship may be full or partial as established by Ministry of Education.

Application Timeline : January to April ( Applicants should enquire the exact date from their home embassy/consulate sending partner)
Eligible Countries : Open to all countries except China.
Host Institutions : Chinese Higher Education Institutions (Colleges and Universities).
Type of Degree : Undergraduate, master’s, Doctoral, General scholar program, and Senior scholar program.
Fields of study : all courses offered at the universities and colleges.
Number of scholarship seats available : several.
Host Country : China.
Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for the Chinese government fully funded scholarship applicant should meet the following criteria;
– Must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China,
– Must be in good health both physically and mentally.
-Should be a high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for undergraduate programs.
– Should have a bachelor’s degree under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs.
-Must be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;
-Should be under the age of 45 and have completed at least two years of undergraduate study when applying for general scholar programs;
-Must have a master’s degree or an associate professor (or above) under the age of 50 when applying for senior scholar programs.
– Applicants should have good grades and good personal qualities.

Chinese Government fully funded Scholarship Coverage
Successful scholarship recipient will benefit from one of the following;
1 . A Full Scholarship which includes ;
a) Waiver of tuition fee, fee for registration, laboratory experiments, internship, and basic textbooks.
b) Free Accommodation on campus.
c) Monthly living allowance (Stipend).
d) Out patient medical service and Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme for International Students in China.
e) One-off settlement subsidy.
f ) one-off inter-city travel reimbursement.
2 . Partial Scholarship may include one or more of the above mentioned benefits.
How to Apply
Applicants should note the following application procedure carefully;
Applicants should consult the dispatching authorities for overseas study in their home countries for the details and requirements of Bilateral Program and submit the application as required.
b. Once recommended by the dispatching authorities, candidates shall contact their target university for Admission Letter.
c. Recommended candidates must finish the online application procedure at CSC Online Application System for International Students. Please go to www.csc.edu.cn/laihua or www.campuschina.org and click Application Online for International Students, complete the required information, submit the completed Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship online and print a hard copy.
e. A package of complete application documents must be submitted to the dispatching authorities in their home countries before the deadline. (Please check Application Documents for the detailed checklist.)
f. CSC does not accept any individual application other than the recommended applications from the dispatching authorities. Candidates with Admission Letter will be placed in the host university; those without Admission Letter should follow CSC’s placement.
Please NOTE Applicants should consult the dispatching authorities for overseas study in their home countries for the instructions of CSC Online Application System for International Students and Agency Number.
Required Documents to Include ( In Duplicate)
a. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship in Chinese or English.
b. Notarized highest diploma (photocopy): Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school.
c. Academic transcripts.
d. A Study Plan or Research Proposal (A minimum of 200 words for undergraduates, 500 words for non-degree students, and 800 words for postgraduates.)
e. Recommendation letters: Applicants for graduate programs or senior scholar programs must submit two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors.
f. Applicants for music studies are requested to submit a CD of their own works. Applicants for fine arts programs must submit a CD of their own works which include two sketches, two color paintings and two other works.
g. Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the valid documents of their legal guardians in China.
h. Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English.
i. Applicants with Admission Letter from designated universities should enclose the letter in the application package.
j. Applicants with valid HSK Certificate should enclose it in the application package.
NOTE: The above documents should be bound on top left corner (in duplicate). No application documents will be returned.
Documents in different language other than English and Chinese should be attached with a notarized Translation.
