Mastercard Scholarship for Africans is an initiative under the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. This scholarship help finance the education and training of young Africans with talent. The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program envisions a transformative network of young people and institutions driving inclusive and equitable socio-economic change in Africa. Mastercard foundation has partner with various institutions and non-governmental organizations to carry out this program. MasterCard Scholarship for Africans Requirements
The minimum graduate admissions requirements are:
A bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution;
A satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale; and enough undergraduate training to do graduate work in your chosen field.
Evidence of English Language Proficiency
All applicants who have completed a basic degree in a country/region in which the official language is not English are required to submit official evidence of English language proficiency. Applicants can take TOEFL or IELTS if they do not meet the English language requirement.
Many departments and groups have additional requirements, including the GRE, TOEFL score minimums, and GPA minimums. Please check the information provided by your department for additional requirements.
Recommendation Letters
Prospective applicants require at least three letters of recommendation. Applicants should check with their prospective department for questions regarding letters of recommendation. Be sure to inform your recommenders of the departments’ deadline.

How to Apply for the Mastercard Scholarship?
Interested applicants must first apply to the University through the regular admissions process before they will be considered for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
