University Of Padua Scholarship

University of Padua scholarship, through the Veneto Region funding, supports low-income students (both Italian and international) enrolling in Bachelor’s, Single-cycle or Master’s degrees and PhD courses.

University of Padua is one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious higher education institution. It is a multi-disciplinary university that aims to provide its students with both professional training and a solid cultural background.

University of Padua Scholarship Eligibility.

Interested applicants should meet the following criteria;

1 . have a low family income (ISEE below euro 23,626.32 and ISPE below euro 36,399.72).

2 . have been admitted to one of the University of Padua degree courses or PhD courses.

3 . comply with the conditions for obtaining an Italian visa.

4 . do not benefit from any other national or international scholarship or grant.

5 . meet the merit criteria and other additional requirements specified in the Call.

Failure to meet one or more of these criteria automatically means that you are not eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Value And Duration.

The amount of the scholarship varies according to your family income and other conditions specified in the Call. The scholarship may include the following;

both the exemption of tuition fees and a subsistence allowance, as well as free or discounted student services such as accommodation, meals at university canteens, etc.

University of Padua Scholarship Payments.

Successful students enrolled in the first year shall receive the scholarship in two instalments. The first one is paid by December 2020;

the second one is paid in several periods of the year, in April, July and September, only if the student earn 20 ECTS credits by 10 August 2021 at the latest.
Students enrolled in years subsequent to the first shall receive the scholarship in one single instalment by December 2020.

Duration :

Scholarships will be offered for one academic year, provided that you meet certain conditions (academic achievements, number of credits etc.). The request must be renewed every academic year.

COVID-19 special benefits .

The University of Padua allocates 15 million euros to students over academic year 2020/21 providing: free internet for one year, public transport and rent subsidies, refunds for laptop purchase.

Such extraordinary measures are added to the traditional wide range of scholarships, awards, and actions aimed at reducing tuition fees.

Cheaper rents, buses, and trains.

If you are a first-year student, already enrolled and with an ISEE up to €50,000, you can;

1 . apply for up to €350 discount on public transport season tickets (buses and trains).

2 . or apply for up to 500€ bonus to rent an accommodation in Padua.

Such extraordinary benefits will be deducted from your tuition fees, which will be recalculated on Uniweb starting from December.

If the tuition fee amount is lower than the total you are entitled to, the benefit will be directly credited to the current account you entered into Uniweb.

Students who were awarded a regional scholarship cannot apply for such benefits.

Please note, applicants must first submit admission application before they can apply for the scholarship.

Required Documents : To apply for a regional scholarship, you need to provide your so called “Equivalent Economic Status Index (ISEE)” which also includes ISPE. Check the guide for further information.
